Customer Service Apprentice

£16,000 - £24,000 per annum

  • Post: Customer Service Apprentice (Level 2 or L3 as appropriate)
  • Location: Close to Norwich Airport, NR6 6BB
  • During the week shifts between 08:30 to 19:00 Monday to Thursday and 08:30 to 17:30 on Fridays
  • Office is usually open from 09:00 to 13:30 Saturdays (with rotational Saturdays)
  • Pay: £16,000 - £24,000 per annum

Main Purpose of Role

This post effectively handles and manages incoming calls from our existing and future customers. Updating customer information onto the business database and documenting all call information according to standard operating procedures. This post requires working in a fast-paced environment, managing several tasks at once, keeping all parties informed (both in email and by telephone) and will work closely with our own internal staff, customers & suppliers. Full training given plus monitored & mentored apprenticeship support via City College Norwich to your appropriate Customer Service Level provided.

Apprentices must attend college sessions once a week (term-time) at the Ipswich Road campus, located near Norwich city centre.

Essential Knowledge & Skill

  • Grade 4 GCSE in English and Maths
  • Basic Computer literacy – Microsoft Packages (ie Word & Excel)
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Good communication skills
  • Good organisational and multi-tasking skills
  • Team player with a high level of dedication
  • Ability to work within set deadlines
  • Flexibility for shift patterns
  • Ability to undertake Level 2 or Level 3 Customer Service Apprenticeship within 18 months
